I am such a fan of Greek mythology and this sounds so cool! Descendants of Medusa? Such a unique and interesting idea! Can't wait to read.

Tris & Izzie by Mette Ivie Harrison

A modern retelling of the German legend Tristan and Isolde, Tris and Izzie, is about a young witch named Izzie who is dating Mark King, the captain of the basketball team and thinks her life is going swimmingly well. Until she makes a love potion for her best friend Brangane and then ends up taking it herself accidentally, and falling in love with Tristan, the new guy at school.

I just think it sounds like a sweet love story. Gotta love those.

A romantic fantasy novel set in a dystopic, war-torn world, in which a teenage girl realizes that she may be the key to saving her country.

This sounds dark but fun, in a way. A less gory Hunger Games, if you please.

Cover Reveal: Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl are the authors of the Caster Chronicles, starting with Beautiful Creatures and continuing with Beautiful Darkness. Now, I've just received word that the third novel, Beautiful Chaos will be released October 18, 2011. And here is the cover:

I liked the other covers for their bright words. This looks beautiful still. I love the winding tendrils from the letters, but lighter colors would have brightened the mood of this cover. But it still looks amazing.

News on Upcoming Books that Now Have Release Dates

Today I was looking through my 2011 Releases page, and noticed that some of the releases didn't have release dates. Not really helpful if you're looking for a book. So I scoured the authors websites, looking for their books dates, and found the two that were missing:

I have never read Firelight (the first book) but it sounds amazing and I really want to read it. The first cover was gorgeous, and this one had kept the beauty going. So pretty. This is released September 26, 2011.
